Samsung Gear S3 Update Assists Fix Issue Of Battery Drain

Samsung, the consumer electronics behemoth, has launched out an update for Gear S3, its flagship smartwatch. Having a weight of 21 MB in size, the upgrade will solve the issue of battery draining encountered by users of Gear S3.

Lately, GSMArena posted that most of the users of Samsung Gear S3 are encountering the problem of battery draining. This problem turned out to be prominent after the latest Tizen 3.0 upgrade. The firm has also informed 9to5Google that currently they are launching out the upgrade in Canada, but shortly they will launch out a worldwide patch for all the watches of Gear S3. The upgrade is obtainable on both Classic and Frontier versions of the smartwatch.

For those who are not aware, Samsung launched out the Gear S3 in January 2017 in India with a price tag of Rs 28,500. The gadget is obtainable at all the top retail and online shops in the nation.

Talking about the specifications, the Samsung Gear S3 has a screen resolution of 360 x 360 with a 1.3-inch screen. It offers Super AMOLED touchscreen with 24.2% of screen to body ratio. It also has a protection of Corning Gorilla Glass SR+ with a pixel density of 392 ppi.

Coming towards the software and hardware updates, the device runs on Tizen-based wearable platform 2.3.2. It is powered by Exynos 7270 processor and has a CPU set of Dual-core 1.0 GHz. The device also offers a 768 MB of RAM along with 4 GB of internal memory. The memory cannot be extended with the help of MicroSD card. The device has additional features such as accelerometer, gyro, heart rate, and barometer. In addition to this, the device also has Samsung Pay, IP68 certified–dust/water proof over 1.5 meter and 30 minutes, and is compatible with standard 22mm straps.
