GSTN Chairman Has A Message For The New CEO Of Infosys

Ajay Bhushan Pandey, the Chairman of GST Network, this week expected that the new management at Infosys will carry on with the attempts to additionally reinforce the portal and make it suitable for companies to file returns. In the initial 4 Months of the GST (Goods and Services Tax), more than 3 Crore returns on the GSTN (GST Network) portal have been filed, with 80 Lakh being filed alone in the month November.

Addressing to the media, Pandey claimed that the return filing on the GSTN has been growing by 5 Lakh each month on an elevated basis and felt hope that the new management at Infosys might continue the momentum in the future. The comments of the GSTN leader arrives at the event when Salil Parekh has been entitled as Infosys’ upcoming CEO, concluding 3 months of high-profile search for executive at the IT services company that has been battered by an interior chaos.

GSTN is offering the tech backbone for filing of returns and collection of taxes in the latest indirect tax rule and Infosys has designed the software for this. “Our conference is always conducted at the officer level. Every time there was a GoM conference, the CEO used to be present for the conference. Apart from personal meeting, what is more significant is work must get done and expect that the new management at Infosys will also carry it in the future,” Pandey claimed.

Pandey was answering to a question on if he is lined up to meet the new CEO of Infosys. Parekh was hired last week as Managing Director and CEO of the company and will take control from January 2, 2017, for the next 5 Years. The Bengaluru-located company had started the search after last CEO Vishal Sikka exited in August post a prolonged bitterness between the high profile founders and the then management.

A section of administration had accused the top-level job role in Infosys for the errors in the portal of GSTN at the time of GSTR-3B returns’ filing in the starting months and the comparing of GSTR-2 (purchase return) with GSTR-1 (the concluding sales return). When asked if GSTN is pleased with the management of Infosys for the back-end software, Pandey claimed, “The system of GSTN is displaying enhancement and everyone who is operating for this require to carry on their attempts to make the network even more comfortable and robust for more individuals.”
