My Life Is Different From Acting Says Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan enjoys every moment of her popularity, but acting still considers her a work and does not want to let her dominate her personal life. National award winner teaches that she does not want her popularity disturbed in the private life of her or her family.
Vidya said, “I have seen a lot of stardom. I have also enjoyed the things that I got from stardom, but at the end acting is a work and I make every possible effort to make it in the best way.” She said, “Siddharth (Vidya Balan’s husband Siddharth Roy Kapur) is not an actor. I cannot talk about them anyway, just as I can talk about myself. I need to respect his privacy. Similarly, my family members are not artists. Those people do not appear publicly.”
Vidya Balan, who started her career in the film “Parineeta” in the year 2005 in Bollywood, continued to receive films after this. Vidya said that she later reduced her submission to films because she felt that besides doing films, there was a life. Vidya further said, “I just do not want to stay alive for movies. There is my life even further than that. When I am not shooting, I want to stay at home. I do not feel like coming to the public forum. I still do not go out on Sunday. It is very important for me to live apart from the camera, as with these experiences I make my characters onscreen.”
Vidya had to face many struggles in achieving big success in Bollywood and she believes that her struggle continues. Though, she believes that now the struggle has become a different kind. Vidya said, “The struggle is a part of life. The effort in the initial stage was so intense that I was in thought that I might never be an actress or would die as a frustrated artist.”
Vidya feels that the struggle of an actor remains lifelong, just what gets change is the course of a struggle. Now whatever I do goes public, which ultimately puts me under pressure. No matter it is a hit or flop, I have to face the pressure owing to the direct exposure to the public.
